Elevated Comfort Food? Why Not!

For my sister's 25th birthday, we dined at Neil's Kitchen; a hip local restaurant that serves Filipino-Spanish fusion dishes. Some of their specialty dishes are the Paella Valenciana with Spanish Tempura, Sinigang Paella with Grilled Pork Belly, Chicken of the South "Alabang Fried Chicken", and Fried Suman, Mangga and Chocnut.

The entire place sports a yellow and black theme. Walls are accented with quirky knick-knacks and quotes about food, family, and good company - truly Filipino. What I like about the place is that the theme is consistent from the exterior to the interior. Everything is carefully placed to utilise the space.
The restaurant is a 2-storey building. The most interesting section you'll pass by is the staircase which leads to the actual dining area.
The food did not disappoint! for starters, we ordered the beach house nachos grande. for the mains: paella valenciana with Spanish tempura, paella negra with calamares, boneless chicken barbecue with java rice, paoched salmon in vinegar and garlic. for dessert, fried suman, mangga and chocnut.

Theme consistency case in point: their washroom.
